Sinful Sunday #216: To Pin-up, or Not To Pin-up?
As Molly says, Sinful Sunday is all about the image. Speaking of images, I have always respected and loved the subtle, demure sexiness that is embodied in the images of the classic Pin-up ladies. And it has been a retro-revival that many people go to studios and have Pin-up photo shoots lately. I’ve see a lot of amazing images and it is very tempting to schedule one for myself. But, is it something I can do? Is it something people would want to see? Is it something I would want to see?
Although I am very open and honest, I can also be very shy. Especially around people I do not know. I think besides needing to be anon for my job, it is easier for me to share with so many people not knowing exactly who I am in real life. If you follow me on Twitter, you know that was compromised recently by someone who felt it was his right to harass me and attempt to “out” me. I won’t go into the details here, as I’m trying to put it behind me and it is too long for a light post (but I will write about it soon). So, after having my trust violated such, how can I continue to put myself out there? I feel like I can’t let others dictate what I do. It is my life and it is only right to live it the way I want to.
In contemplating this decision to do the photo shoot, I realized that it had been a while since I shared with all of you. So the first step to deciding, is to come back to Sinful Sunday. Thank you for all your messages, support, jokes, helpful advice, and strong shoulders through these difficult few months. Now, I can put that behind me and move on to better things.
